Workers’ Dignity is organizing to build a Nashville that values ALL people. We believe people directly impacted by injustice, especially low-wage workers facing abuse by employers, bus riders confronting transit racism, and immigrants facing increased ICE raids and detention, are ideally situated to have the knowledge and capacity to create sustaining and equitable change.
We’re fighting for safe construction worksites with worker-led monitoring, freedom from exploitation from unscrupulous contractors and greedy bosses, and living-wages for construction workers through our commercial construction campaign. Every Thursday night, we organize with fellow workers to win back stolen wages from abusive employers. We’re fighting for a fully-funded equitable public transit system that doesn’t leave low-income riders waiting in the ditches in the cold with Music City Riders United. We’re fighting for radio airwaves that reflect our communities and amplify the voices of working people on 104.1FM Radio Dignidad. We’re fighting for housing for all -- including construction of 31,000 affordable homes -- through the People’s Alliance for Transit, Housing and Employment coalition. And we’re fighting for economic justice and dignity for all.
We have big plans for Nashville. But in order to challenge the wealthy elite and indifferent politicians who stand in our way, we all have to come together in solidarity. Whether you can give $1 or $1,000, your donation builds the people power we need to build the world we want. Will you join the movement and fight with us?
